James Nacy holds Bachelor and Masters Degrees of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of New Orleans respectively. He is also an alumnus of the International Congress of Strings and the American Youth Symphony. He has performed with the New Orleans Symphony, New Orleans Ballet Theater Orchestra, Jefferson City Symphony, the Gateway Festival Orchestra and is currently Principal Cellist of Clayton Symphony Orchestra. An experienced chamber musician, he has been the cellist of the Stephens String Quartet and Scampata Musica and currently plays in the all-cello ensemble Cellobration. James is Director of Orchestras for the School District of Washington, serves on the faculty of East Central College and is Music Director at Trinity Episcopal Church. We are very pleased to have him in our ensemble!
