Meet Deberah Haferkamp Deberah Haferkamp, Landolfi's violist, is also the founder of the ensemble. In 1976 Deberah started her own string quartet that quickly gained recognition as one of the premier chamber ensembles in the St.Louis area. Truly, Landolfi's success is directly linked to her leadership and vision for this quartet. An accomplished violinist and violist, Deberah prefers the violist's position. Yet, Ms. Haferkamp is equally competent as a violinist, serving as the Concertmaster of the Alton Symphony and the Principal Second violinist of the St. Louis Philharmonic. She is the Principal violist of the Gateway Orchestra and also retains an Officer's seat on their Board. Ms. Haferkamp performs annual chamber concerts at Washington University's Graham Chapel where she's been featured as a soloist on both viola and violin. We don't know what we'd do without her!
